Humpday Bumpday!

I am off for Tucson Arizona to participate in staffing a men's initiation weekend for gay/bi/trans/questioning men.

I leave behind most of my technology - where I am going there is no wireless, no cell coverage and only one land line so I can't even use dial up. I'll have my phone for using when I am in Tucson proper, but once we go up the mountain nearby it's a wash.

This will be hard on me. I am very much adapted to my tech lifestyle. 5 days at low tech living is going to test me.

The previous times I have supported a workshop, I was in areas with cell coverage so at least I could hotspot my laptop. I can't even do that where I am going.

Since I won't be back or available for days and days, I picked delightful examples of men to tease your imagination...

Morningwood Mondays

Have you ever had a day when your morning wood never really went away? You spent the day trying not to show the fact that you were at least 1/2 hard all day?

Yeah that's today. It is both fun and irritating when you don't have the time to take care of it but it still feels erotic and pleasurable to wander around your day in that state :)

Here are a few reasons just can't stop looking at men!

Friday Fruitcakes!

Happy spring - happy rain - happy days!

The hubby is off for a couple of days to a training in the bay area. While I am a little envious I am also looking forward to some alone time with my best bud Rose who is coming to visit on Sat.

She and I are ever so good at getting into trouble together!

I might tell you about our adventures some time :)

Now go distract yourselves with these fun pics!

Late Night Humpday Celebration! With some Bumps for good measure!

It has been a long and mind-numbing day. I won't explain for fear of putting you to sleep.

I do however have reason to celebrate! Don't we all? Its Humpday!

Please enjoy these selections and may they fuel your passions and dreams this evening...

I would be happy to help him with a load...

He might need a sports massage....

A man in uniform is good to find!

Runners Hump - high and tight!

I love a man in all over undies!
Its like unwrapping a present!

He obviously needs help dropping trou.

Poor thing! I can help that swelling go down...

I want to play with his driveshaft!

Have a great Wednesday night!

Spring Equinox

Spring - a time when boys take off their clothes!

Oh wait, I meant to say it is a time when plants send up new growth, the trees start to awaken, the weather begins to warm up, animals and insects begin coming out of hibernation or returning from their migrations and on the Equinox - a time of change and renewal...

Most certainly a time of celebratory anticipation - Winter is officially over, even if it is still cold outside and we can anticipate growth, life and new adventures!

Many cultures around the world celebrated this time as the beginning of the new year. This was before the Gregorian calendar that most of Western Culture follows today.
The Persians called it Nawruz, the Romans simply called it new year - but regardless of its name, it was a holy time of year when goddesses like Eostre, Aurora and Eos were worshipped with more fervent thanks because just as the dawn is the time of new light, so the vernal equinox is the time of new life. All the major goddesses had holidays at this time of year - Astarte, Isis, Aprhrodite, Cybele and even the Virgin Mary (lol yes she represents a Goddess).

Lambs and other newborn animals are sacred for this time of year and were often offered up as sacrifice to guarantee a successful planting of new crops.

New growth is so important that this is the time of year that the Christian church had to place the resurrection of Christ in order to co-opt the holidays that were already being celebrated throughout the Roman Empire and beyond - the festivals of Attis (son of Cybele), Osiris (mate of Isis), Dionysus,  Adonis, Christ (son of Mary) and several others if you look for them! One of my favorite things about the Christ myth is its similarity to other Gods born of women who die and come back to life after 2-3 days. This was such a common theme in ancient mythologies that it is really no wonder to me that it caught on and stayed as a major religion - all it needed (and what it had) was a large group of people administratively dedicated to its continuance and their own benefit.

All that aside - the best part of Spring is the boys are taking off their clothes!

See what I mean boss?

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Oh Em Gee - your browser might take awhile to get all these today!

Happy St. Patrick's Day for those of you who celebrate it - for some people - Neo-Pagans and Celts - this isn't the happiest of holidays as it is celebrating the ousting of Druids from the Isles. Not a happy occasion for them really.

Druids were the pre-christian priests and priestesses involved with nature, gods and goddesses, occasional (as in annual) sacrifice of criminals, fertility, blessings, etc.

The Horned God (versions of which go back further than Pan, Dionysus and Osiris)  and the Goddess as a triple diety - maiden, matron, crone - were part of the Druidic culture.

Many cathedrals and churches in the British Isles that are dedicated to Mary are actually built onthe same sites as Druidic goddess shrines.

I personally like to celebrate this holiday by going out and pinching cute men who aren't wearing green. I get some funny looks but its worth the risk.

Like last year, I am going to go out and spend some time searching for men to pinch - and I am hoping Homo Depot, the grocery store, Ikea and dog park will reward me with a few!

I also ransacked my screensaver pic collection for men in green for you to review - over 80 pics here for you to ruminate on...isn't that a fun word?
